Pro­po­nents of open source soft­ware, open stan­dards and open sys­tems, our web work is pro­du­ced ac­cor­ding to the stan­dards of W3C (the World Wide Web Con­sor­tium) using XHTML (Ex­ten­si­ble Hy­per­Text Mark­up Lan­gu­age) and CSS (Cas­ca­ding Style Sheets). 

Our pages in­tel­li­gen­tly ge­ne­rate W3C headers optimized for spe­ci­fic search en­gine spi­der ro­bots as they vi­sit.  These headers are de­signed to op­tim­ize search en­gine re­spon­ses to your con­tent.  XML and RSS (Really Sim­ple Syn­di­ca­tion) news feeds can be cus­tom im­ple­men­ted to pro­vide im­med­iate and deep im­pact for cur­rent and news­wor­thy source items or ar­ti­cles. 

Our con­tent is dy­nam­ic­ally data dri­ven and in­tel­li­gent thanks to PHP (Hy­per­Text Pre­pro­ces­sing), Perl, and JavaScript, the pre­fer­red stan­dard web scrip­ting and pro­gram­ming lan­gua­ges of bu­si­ness to­day, used in con­junc­tion with MySQL, a struc­tured query lan­gu­age re­la­tio­nal data­base sys­tem. 

Our de­signs are to the grea­test ex­tent pos­si­ble ser­ver dri­ven, and client and brow­ser in­de­pen­dent.  We avoid client de­pen­dence, i.e. JavaScript or Flash of one ver­sion or ano­ther un­less it is spe­ci­fi­cal­ly jus­ti­fi­able.  The re­sult? What­ever brow­ser tech­no­lo­gy your vi­si­tors al­low or dis­able, they will grace­fully re­ceive your full mes­sage. 

We res­pect the va­lue of In­ter­net band­width.  We res­pect the ele­ments of good visual de­sign.  Our at­ten­tion to gra­phic op­ti­mi­za­tion as­sures that each im­age is de­li­ve­red with the high­est pos­sible qua­li­ty, yet in as small a di­gi­tal pack­age as pos­sible.
